Jos Lyon
Passionate about the art of bachata, my journey began in 2019 when I was captivated by its rhythms and movements. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from skilled instructors across the globe, from the dance scenes of Kenya and Dubai to the cultural hotspots of Spain, Italy, Germany and France.
Through consistent dedication and relentless practice, I’ve not only honed my bachata dance skills but also cultivated a deep appreciation for the dance form, by establishing a dance school in Kenya. This platform allows me to share my expertise and spread the joy of bachata to eager learners through workshops locally and internationally.
Moreover, I’ve actively promoted bachata by organizing and participating in various dance events in East Africa, fostering a thriving community of fellow enthusiasts.
I am excited to bring my diverse experiences and love for bachata to the Akoma Dance Spirit Festival in South Africa this year! Where I look forward to inspiring, teaching & sharing with all!
